Very light natural honey harvested in the summer. Its so light and citrusy it kind of tastes like summer. We love this unique honey in the raw. It looks very similar to our Acacia but has unique citrus tones.

Perfect for teas, green apples, yogurt, biscuits and ice cream. Try some drizzled over a bowl of fresh berries or an acia bowl. Mix some in your favorite smoothie.

Basswood honey is called Linden honey in Europe and Lime honey in England however it is not a citrus tree. In the United States you can find basswood raw honey from many backyard beekeepers. Basswood is rarely available in grocery stores.

Wherever possible raw honey is produced from organic floral sources located in parks & preserves.  These flowers are non GMO and are not sprayed with pesticides or fungicides.

cold packed basswood honey raw and unfiltered icon

We Cold Pack honey in the raw & lightly strain it.  It's harder to cold pack raw honey because it moves so slow.  But this ensures all the enzymes are active and the good stuff is still in the honey jar waiting for you :)

    Delicious Basswood Honey!

Best honey ever! It is so aromatic, has a very gentle floral and lemony notes."

The headline says most of it, but I'll expand a bit. I love honey; it's one of the few condiments/spreads/etc. where I allow flavor to outweigh cost, even when that means it's a lot pricier. I usually take a long subway ride to the Russian grocery to get honey that I like, by which I mean, linden honey. I ran out of the honey and knew I wouldn't have time to make that trip for a while, and this looked like the best value. It is undoubtedly a very good value—it's good quality honey at a decent price. For most honey uses, and indeed for mine (which is mainly sweetening tea, but I also used it in a traditional bread), it's more than adequate."

    From the Founder

    OUR MISSION

"The bees are having a tough time out there.  From Varroa mites to pesticides, the bees face a lot of challenges to their survival.  Our mission is to develop sustainable beekeeping practices and natural hive treatments.  We will create the cleanest purest honey possible for our customers.

Many honey packers and producers import honey from overseas and blend it with USA honey to reduce prices.  This hurts the American farmer.  We are also committed to producing and purchasing only USA honey."
